Liverpool beat Apeldoorn In the European West final. Manager Oscar took a gamble by playing a weakened side in the final. It was a brave move as fans were still furious about the elimination of the team in humiliating circumstances from the Wes Cup. But the team proved strong enough to dominate plucky Apeldoorn, which surprised everyone by reaching the final.
Genoa might not be having the greatest season but the team managed to grab another trophy. Manager Dev will be happy to fill up the cabinet following fairly quiet couple of seasons.
Espoo continued its love affair with the cup, grabbing another trophy. The club remains in the race for the title but this early trophy will boost morale.
Houston has broken from its tradition of dominating in the Regional cup in recent seasons, but the American North powerhouse has grabbed another trophy as it continues to hunt for the treble. The team squeezed past San Antonio as expected although it took a 91st minute winner from star striker Van den Ven. The Wes Cup semi final against ES leader Zagreb awaits next.
