Abdul Mochtar, the legendary striker playing for Houston in Americas, is likely to become the all-time leading goalscorer in Wes history this season. The striker currently sits on 207 career league goals, needing only a few more to overcome the current goalscoring record held by Brasilia’s star striker Nikolay Kirilchik, with 215.
With Mochtar still only a relatively young 33 years old, he may have 1-2 more seasons to beat and then extend the goalscoring record. If he does it this season, he will move into the Hall of Fame. The current Hall of Fame only counts league goals. In total, Mochtar has 300 goals.
However, the Indonesian striker may sweep more than just one record. He is also in the running for the following records:
· Most assists (current record is 72)
· Most shots taken
· Most shots on goal
· Most unassisted goals (record is 80)
Houston have already stated they will play him through until retirement to ensure he wins all the possible records. The only thing stopping him now is injury and early retirement.
Notably, Mochtar has been the leading goalscorer in D1 of the Americas for the past 10 seasons. His rivals will be glad to see him eventually hang up his boots, but not until he breaks multiple Wes attacking records.
